How to delete your data
Last updated: 24 September 2026
You can ask us to delete personal data held in ClinicForYou at any time, whether you are a clinic using the service or a patient who booked through it. There is no charge, and you do not need an account to ask.
Send one email
To: ashrithshetty15@gmail.com
Subject: Data deletion request
Please include the details below so we can find the right records.
If you are a patient
- The mobile number you used to message the clinic.
- The name of the clinic you booked with.
- Whether you want everything deleted, or only a specific appointment.
If you are a clinic
- The clinic name and the WhatsApp number registered with us.
- Whether you want the whole account deleted, or only particular patient records.
- Whether you would like an export of your data before it is deleted.
What happens next
- We acknowledge within 2 working days. We may ask one or two questions to confirm you are who you say you are — we will never ask for a password or a one-time code.
- We delete within 30 days of confirming the request, and tell you when it is done.
- Backups. Data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period after deletion from the live system, and is overwritten on the normal backup cycle.
What we cannot delete
- Messages in WhatsApp itself. The conversation on your phone and on the clinic's phone belongs to your WhatsApp accounts. Delete it in WhatsApp, as you would any other chat.
- Records the clinic must keep by law. A clinic may be required to retain certain records. Where that applies, we will tell you which records and why.
If an account closes
You do not have to ask. When a clinic stops using ClinicForYou, its data — including patient records, notes and documents — is deleted within 90 days automatically.
